Havana Walls

In December 2024 I travelled to Havana, Cuba, for a photographic workshop. I was struck both by the magnificence of the city—it is an architectural wonderland—and also by the resilience of the Cuban people in facing the difficulty of life there. Due to the U.S. embargo on Cuba, many of Havana’s architectural treasures are in disrepair, with paint peeling and walls literally crumbling. But that doesn’t make them any less beautiful.
